Some cultures believe that lizards symbolize the manifestation of dreams. I have always loved lizards. As a child my parents let me keep a menagerie in our garage. I had rabbits, mice, snakes, turtles, fish, and lizards.
The lizards were always the most fascinating to me. They can be quick and sharp, but spend most of their time simply lounging around sunning themselves in a state of half-sleep. That must be when they are dreaming the really big dreams.
As I enter my late-thirties, life seems to be presenting three questions: How can I realize my authentic self? What are my true life dreams? And… how can I manifest them?
So, I’m embracing my inner lizard.
Online Interests:
- eLearning – as it relates to my day-job. I am working to grow professionally as a Project Manager, Instructional Designer, and Strategic Thinker.
- Social networking online – as a tool for making connections, sharing creativity, learning, and playing.
- Art & Photography (digital and otherwise).
- Lizards.
Life Dreams:
- Owning and operating a community-centered, gallery art-café.
- Building a straw bale house and living in the mountains somewhere near an artist community.
This is a new blog. I hope to post/discuss on a variety of topics. I have been very inspired to join in on the social networking scene. I’ve had a couple of personal blogs, but I’m ready to interact. I hope that each post provides for myself (and maybe for you) a nice cup of lizard.
I live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area. Feel free to send me an email.

Thanks for your comments and additional links Angela on my blog. I wasn’t positive if I posted on my own to your post if you would recieve the response, so just in case here you go.
They’re extremely helpful for me as well trying to get into the thick of it all and understand a little more the true potential of all these things as well. I do have Michelle’s blog referenced as well, but have not gone back to look at it as much as I should have.
I look forward to hearing about how your wiki progresses as well at work. The one I set up yesterday for the Mgt. Team is still flying today. Yeah something worked.
By the way, your’s is looking amazing. I really love the whole set up and layout you have. Really interesting.
Hi Angela: I was wondering if you could help me out? I think you are a team of one in your roll at work. Correct me if I’m wrong. Can you tell me what your title is there? Will there be any change to it now that you are getting an LMS too on your plate?
I’m trying to reposition myself at work and any info I can have on others in similar roles would be helpful.
Take care and I hope you had a great camping trip.
Feel free to comment back at hamtra@gmail.com. I couldn’t find your email address so I posted my message here.

Have a nice day !
gallery art café, I can digg that idea. My dream is to have a plot of land where writers and artists can come and … live, working on it (had an open house and that was very inspiring)
Inge,
We just met in the eLearning Guild conference session about Second Life! Thanks so much for you comments. I’m going to check your blog out now.
Hi Angela,
Thanks for writing back — I actually had to get back to NJ early on Thursday a.m., so didn’t see your email until now. But thanks again for teaching me about all the cool new stuff. I’ll be trying it all out… so you may hear from me on some other site like facebook or linkedin. Anyway, I’m going to eventually try blogging too, so I’ll invite you when I do. It was great to meet you — maybe our paths will cross again in the future.
All the best,
Ann
